While you’re surfing the web, the Touch Bar comes in really handy as well. For instance if you are watching a video, you can fast forward or rewind it by just swiping on the Touch Bar. However, the Touch Bar is more than just that. The Touch Bar is to simply put a replacement for the ‘F’ keys that are found in every other laptop.
The Touch Bar is placed just above the keyboard. It works perfectly fine and takes hardly any time to set up. There’s also a fingerprint sensor which is placed right next to the Touch Bar and is a really handy feature to have. The trackpad on the MacBook stands out and not just because it’s huge but also because it is fairly responsive. With the keyboard, we are sure there will be a few complaints but as we mentioned earlier once you’re used to the travel time, it works absolutely fine. There’s a silicone membrane that Apple has got inside the keyboard which apparently makes it quieter. There were moments when the number of typos you make can be a bit annoying. The “butterfly mechanism” makes the keyboard look a bit flat and the travel time is slightly less than what we have seen on other keyboards. The keyboard – another bone of contention – for which Apple has had to face quite a bit of flak takes time to get used to. Apple, on the other hand, continued to impress with its design philosophy with tweaks here and there. Look at the recent laptops from brands like Asus, Lenovo and others that they all give Apple a good run for their money. It made other laptops look like fuddy duddies but gradually competition caught up and started making thin, sleek and stylish laptops. Does the new MacBook range deliver what it promises? With the previous generation of MacBook devices, a lot of people thought Apple had not 'progressed' as much as competition had. Every time Apple launches a new set of MacBook devices, there is a sense of anticipation about what it will bring this time around. While the MacBook launch might not happen with as much fanfare as that of the iPhone, it still is one of the awaited laptops of the year. There have been questions about Apple not being able to up the ante when it comes to laptops whereas the rest of the competition has perhaps taken it up a notch. So, when Apple recently launched its latest line up of MacBook laptops, it certainly evoked more than just enviable glances. For everyone else, the MacBook is a device that attracts more than just envious glances.
A strong case can surely be made for that as a certain segment of users might find it out of their reach as they wouldn’t want to pay more. There’s a widely circulated myth that Apple ’s MacBook s “aren’t for everyone.” Lord knows how and when the myth originated - and what it really means - but the only reason why MacBooks aren’t for everyone is perhaps the price.
